			      for their ongoing contributions to Columbia Athletics at the annual Varsity ‘C’ 
				  Celebration, which drew more than 1,000 to Levien Gym on May 4. The Milsteins, seen at 
				  right with Barnard President Judith Shapiro (second from left) and Director of Athletics 
				  M. Dianne Murphy (second from right), both played tennis at Columbia and are the first 
				  husband and wife to earn the Alumni Athletics Award since its inception in 1941. Caroline 
				  Bierbaum ’06 (bottom, left), a five-time All-American in cross country and track 
				  and field, and Milos Tomic ’06 (bottom, right), an international rowing star who 
				  completed for Columbia’s lightweight crew, received the Connie S. Maniatty 
				  Outstanding Senior Athlete Awards. Bierbaum finished second at the NCAA Cross Country 
				  Championships last fall and earned the Honda Award for her sport, while Tomic, a 
				  seven-time champion in Serbia-Montenegro, stroked the Lions to a fourth-place finish 
				  in the National Lightweight Championships.     |  |
