Becca worked at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt doing research for the Heliophysics department. She studied the impact of the solar wind on the Earth's ionosphere and magnetosphere, analyzing satellite data to assess fluctuations caused by solar perturbances. Better understanding the interactions between the Earth and the atmosphere is critical to maintaining satellite communications, as well as predicting space weather. She is planning to spend this summer working for the Applied Physics department in the plasma group.
