Join Columbia College Women and the Eric H. Holder, Jr. Initiative for an in-depth discussion with Cathleen Price CC’92, nationally renowned civil rights attorney with the Equal Justice Initiative. We will explore social justice in the United States through the lens of Price's work as an attorney, educator and advocate of death-sentenced prisoners, offenders subject to excessively harsh punishments and communities marginalized by poverty and discrimination. We will also discuss how the justice system works, how it should work and what we can all do to improve it.
Opening remarks presented by former U.S. Attorney General Eric H. Holder, Jr. CC’73, LAW’76, and closing remarks by Bernard E. Harcourt, Isidor and Seville Sulzbacher Professor of Law and Professor of Political Science.
