More than 5,000 alumni and friends from across Columbia’s four undergraduate schools — including 1,600 Columbia College alumni — returned to Morningside Heights for Reunion 2017 held June 1-4. Attendees joined from near and far … as far away as Switzerland, Pakistan and Japan!

Plus, for the second consecutive year, Friday night’s Young Alumni Party sold out at Guastavino’s, the chic midtown venue under the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge.
Other highlights included:
Dean’s Breakfast in Low Library, where Dean James J. Valentini addressed alumni on the state of Columbia College, followed by a Q&A
Keynote by Nobel Prize winner Richard Axel CC’67 “Scents and Sensibility,” on how the brain knows what the nose is smelling
Mini-Core Classes on democracy and decision making, resistence to authority, global warming and more, taught by renowned Columbia faculty, including Timothy Frye GSAS’97, Julie Crawford, John Ma and David Helfand
Alumni Talks with Marco Zappacosta CC’07, co-founder of Thumbtack; women across 30 years at Columbia College; and a Facebook Live panel with Olivier Knox CC’92, Michael Ricci CC’02 and Joshua Lipsky on “The Future of News Media in the Trump Administration”
BBQ luncheon with alumni and families on South Lawn
All-Class Wine Tasting on Low Plaza — one of our most popular reunion events!
Reunion class dinners across campus
