On May 19, 2015, almost 1,200 seniors joined the ranks of Columbia College alumni at Class Day. The Alumni Parade of Classes, which processed into the Class Day ceremony and included over 200 alumni marching with their class banners, celebrated the transition our seniors made from students to alumni, strenghthening their lifelong connection to Columbia. After the procession, keynote speaker Los Angeles Major Eric Garcetti CC'92, SIPA'93 gave a warm, humorous and inspiring speech, which can be viewed here.
Noteworthy seniors include Julian Brave NoiseCat CC’15, who has been awarded a prestigious Clarendon Scholarship from the University of Oxford to pursue a Master of Studies in Global and Imperial History, Miriam Rosen CC’15 who has been awarded a Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD) Study Scholarship to perform research in Berlin, and Demarttice Tunstall CC’15 has been selected for a 2015 Humanity in Action Fellowship and for the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) for Young Professionals. This year's valedictorian and salutatorian were Robert Henry Lin and Stephanie Christine Gergoudis, respectively.
