Neuroscience and Behavior
Description:
I began research in 2015 at the University of North Texas into the mechanisms of innate immunity in Arabidopsis. I then moved to another lab in 2016, where I began research investigating the effects of glucose on the nervous system and behavior of C. elegans. This research led me to become interested in the cognitive/behavioral side of neuroscience, leading me to my current interest into the interface between molecular changes and the effects they have on memory and behavior. I hope to continue research throughout college and eventually pursue a PhD with the goal of becoming a researcher/professor.
