Gloria is working at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to identify, using pharmacological and genetic methods, target pathways that are responsible for the initiation and progression of cancer. Having the ability to identify tumors by a specific genetic mutation provides insight on tumor growth, survival or metastasis. Ideally, these discoveries will be used to better diagnose, care for and monitor cancer patients in the future
