This summer I will be working with Professor Gordana Vunjak-Novakovic from the department of Biomedical Engineering. My work will focus on Embryonic Stem Cells (ESC) and Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSC) and the conditions required for their differentiation into cardiomyocytes. Results from these studies will hopefully lead to more efficient methods of producing cardiac cells.
