Neuroscience & Behavior
Description:
During high school, I spent three summers working in Dr. Richard Axel's olfactory neurobiology laboratory at the Columbia University Medical Center. My work involved cross breeding and dissecting genetically altered flies in order to trace neuronal pathways involved in smell detection to characterize the neuroanatomy of olfaction. I am excited to continue research in the field of behavioral neuroscience at Columbia.
