Environmental Biology
Description:
I am interested in the genetic, environmental, and behavioral bases of neurodevelopmental disorders, specifically fragile X syndrome. My past research includes analyzing the effects of decreased FMRP levels in cells from patients with fragile X syndrome on interactions between the WAVE1 Complex and CYFIP. Currently, I work with Drosophila melanogaster and examine how altered circadian rhythms in Drosophila affect the fruit fly's ability to regulate its own immunity.
