Mathematics
Description:
My research interests are in mathematics, and more specifically in algebraic geometry and representation theory. I am studying a variety of subjects in mathematics, but these two subfields are the most interesting at the moment. In particular, I would like to do research in the future in enumerative geometry where algebraic and symplectic geometry meet with string theory, and in geometric representation theory where works of people like Drinfeld, Beilinson, Bernstein, and Ginzburg have left deep imprints in representation theory and number theory among others. Another field I would like to learn more about is derived algebraic geometry, where notions such as schemes are generalized and problems in intersection theory and deformation theory become natural. In Summer 2016, I will be doing research at Columbia on actions of quantized lie algebras on probabilistic particle systems, bringing representation theory and probability theory together.
