Nathan is a current senior at Columbia College whose past endeavors in pharmacology and cancer biology research have led to an interest in the field of biochemistry and cell biology. He currently works in the Gonzalez lab studying prokaryotic translation initiation using smFRET techniques to study the dynamics of this important step in the process of translation in real time. During his time at Columbia, Nathan has also developed an interest in the field of economics, specifically looking at the intersection between economics and the healthcare industry.
