What was your favorite class memory?
“Weekend brunch at John Jay, sitting for hours with friends recounting the past week and making plans for the weekend. Eating Wilma’s omelettes and waffles. Belly laughs, excitement when a new friend comes in, squeezing in as many people as possible and then grabbing the table behind to fit more people.” – Lauren Shearer Accordino
Which class or professor has stuck with you most?
“1) Readings in Modern Chinese - Advanced with Professor CP Sobelman (aka Su Taitai) - gave me the tools and critical thinking approaches needed to interact with Chinese texts, modern and ancient; I think of this class every time I work with someone over WeChat or read a Chinese news article or write a post or email in Chinese 2) Drugs, Brain and Behavior with Professor Carl Hart - incredible intersection of neurobiology, pharmacology and policy that has shaped how I understand human behavior, incentive models and even law enforcement and public policy.” – Annie Ma-Weave

“Men’s tennis battling for a championship and showing up on buses to cheer them on.”
“Great bowls of beef soup at the gone but not forgotten Nacho Mama’s, fresh greens and boxed wine at Columbia Cottage.”
"I loved the Columbia Urban Experience (CUE) orientation program and EDGE Scotland programs and the lifelong friends I made. Also, going to Columbia in Beijing (CIB) where I met my husband, with whom I've made two future Columbians!"
