Columbia College Young Alumni is an active community within the greater Columbia College Alumni Association for alumni who are graduates from the last 10 classes.
Our Mission
The mission of the Columbia College Young Alumni Board is to foster lifelong connections among young alumni of the College, the broader College alumni network, and the Columbia University community. Through dynamic partnerships, impactful mentorship, and engaging programs, we aim to create a vibrant, inclusive community that supports young alumni in their personal and professional growth, reinforcing their lasting bond with Columbia.

Committees
The Columbia College Young Alumni Board of Directors has four priorities: alumni engagement, professional development, outreach and recruitment and development. We invite you to join in one of the following committees, or to simply be an ambassador, attendee and/or supporter in our efforts.
Alumni Engagement Committee
We build a close-knit community by offering social activities that keep recent graduates connected to the university, helping them transition smoothly into the broader alumni network while maintaining strong ties to their alma mater.
Professional Development Committee
We support students and young alumni as they navigate their careers, offering targeted resources and guidance to help them explore options, develop professionally and transition successfully into post-graduation life.
Outreach & Recruitment Committee
We connect students and alumni with our dynamic community, broadening our appeal across diverse groups. By offering opportunities for direct engagement and recruiting passionate leaders, we ensure the board remains relevant and impactful.
Development Committee
We strive to build a culture of giving among young alumni by creating intentional touch points that connect volunteerism with philanthropy. Our focus is on encouraging a spirit of generosity early in the alumni journey, ensuring that young alumni feel valued and empowered to contribute to the university’s future.
