Columbia College Young Alumni is an active community within the greater Columbia College Alumni Association for alumni who are graduates from the last 10 classes.
Our Mission
The mission of the Columbia College Young Alumni Board is to foster lifelong connections among young alumni of the College, the broader College alumni network, and the Columbia University community. Through dynamic partnerships, impactful mentorship, and engaging programs, we aim to create a vibrant, inclusive community that supports young alumni in their personal and professional growth, reinforcing their lasting bond with Columbia.

Columbia Homecoming 2024 offers young alumni opportunities to reconnect with classmates, revisit campus and cheer on your Lions! Sign up now and reserve your spot for:
- a masquerade-themed Young Alumni Party for the Classes of 2015–24 at The DL (95 Delancey Street);
- a tailgate-style lunch with a live DJ, and family-friendly games and activities; and
- the Columbia Lions taking on Dartmouth Big Green at Robert K. Kraft Field!
New Volunteer Welcome
We are thrilled to welcome our newest volunteers to the CCYA! Representing six cities across the U.S. and one country abroad, these talented individuals bring a wealth of experience from diverse fields, including academia, business development, consulting, environmental government, finance and banking, graduate school, journalism, law, social work, and software technology.
Our new volunteers have been deeply involved in campus life during their time at university, participating in student organizations such as the Columbia Undergraduate Law Review, Housing Equity Project, Architecture Society, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, Student Ambassadors of Columbia College Alumni, Senior Fund, Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs, Columbia College Student Council, Columbia Daily Spectator, Jazz Ensemble, Columbia Debate Society and more. Their dedication and passion for their communities continue to shine through in their professional lives and their commitment to our alumni network.

Committees
The Columbia College Young Alumni Board of Directors has four priorities: alumni engagement, professional development, outreach and recruitment and development. We invite you to join in one of the following committees, or to simply be an ambassador, attendee and/or supporter in our efforts.
Alumni Engagement Committee
We build a close-knit community by offering social activities that keep recent graduates connected to the university, helping them transition smoothly into the broader alumni network while maintaining strong ties to their alma mater.
Professional Development Committee
We support students and young alumni as they navigate their careers, offering targeted resources and guidance to help them explore options, develop professionally and transition successfully into post-graduation life.
Outreach & Recruitment Committee
We connect students and alumni with our dynamic community, broadening our appeal across diverse groups. By offering opportunities for direct engagement and recruiting passionate leaders, we ensure the board remains relevant and impactful.
Development Committee
We strive to build a culture of giving among young alumni by creating intentional touch points that connect volunteerism with philanthropy. Our focus is on encouraging a spirit of generosity early in the alumni journey, ensuring that young alumni feel valued and empowered to contribute to the university’s future.
