Blondel A. Pinnock CC’90

Blondel A. Pinnock CC’90 is the president and CEO of Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corp., the nation’s first community development corporation.

She is the first woman to hold that position in BSRC’s 58-year history. Prior to joining BSRC, Pinnock served as chief lending officer for Carver Federal Savings Bank, the largest publicly traded Black-managed bank in the United States at that time. She worked there for more than 10 years and was the first woman to hold the title of CLO and president of Carver Community Development Corp. In 2018 she started her consulting company, BP Capital Strategies.

Prior to entering banking, Pinnock was of counsel and deputy director for the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development’s tax incentives unit. Pinnock earned a B.A. in history and sociology and a J.D. from Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law, and is a graduate of FleetBoston Financial Credit Analysis Training Program.
